And as the calm afternoon breeze filled the room, Kiaan’s thoughts were anything but calm.
They were sharp. Cold.
And for the first time — deadly.

AUTHOR'S POV…
Their peaceful consolation was disturbed by a knock on the door making shanaya flinch.
She looked at kiaan with her doe eyes making his heart flatter a bit.
She stood up and went to open the door…. Kiaan followed her behind while holding her pallu end, making her blush.
Once Shanaya reached the door she turned and looked at kiaan and told him to leave her pallu but he just pouted like a kid and shook his head, she just signed and opened the door.
As she opened she saw a maid standing in front of them.
The maid bowed her head and said in a polite way “ rani saa apko badi rani saa and bade hukum sa bula rahe hai.” Shanaya looked at kiaan who was still playing with her pallu and said “ jii, hum aate hai ap ja sakthe hai”
[ queen, queen mother and King are calling you]
[ we will come]
She closed the door once she completed her sentence and looked at kiaan who was now staring at her with intensity.
She flinched a little when she saw him staring at her like that but anyway asked him “ kya hua jii…. Ap mujhe yese kyu dekh rahe ho”
[ What happened?? Why are you looking at me like this]
kiaan shook his head and said “ cholo khana khane. Tum ne kheer banaya hai.” She just nodded.
[Come let's go, you have made kheer]
They both made their way out of the room and went downstairs…
Shanaya was looking a little hesitant to come there and was taking very small steps.
Kiaan was observing everything that she was doing, so he held her hand and intertwined it with his finger and pulled her towards himself…..
Shanaya looked at him then she looked at their hands….she didn't know what she was feeling but inside her heart there was a feeling of being protected. She felt safe with him beside her.
When they both made their way towards the dining room. She saw her father-in-law and uncle-in-law sitting with rage filled in their eyes and…..
her mother-in-law and aunt-in-law were sitting with worried faces.
While the youngsters were furious over something.
She didn't even glance towards risha and her mother.
Kiaan pulled her with him towards the table that was filled with numerous amounts of emotion evolving in the atmosphere of the room.
Kiaan didn't look at anyone but directly made eye contact with his so-called bua who was looking at him with an innocent look which perfectly hid the smugness on her face….
while her daughter was sitting with crocodile tears dropping from her evil eyes.

As Kiaan and Shanaya entered the dining hall …everyone's attention went to them .
Kiaan didn't glance at anyone and pulled a chair for Shanaya after making sure she was comfortable in her seat he made his way towards his seat that was beside her.
Shanaya was looking at her lap all this time to make sure she didn't end up getting herself in any kind of trouble.
Abhiraj saw the dried tears and fear in Shanaya's eyes and was able to make out what had happened….
He knew he shouldn't be worried as Kiaan will take good care of that family .
But still he couldn't wash out the worriness from his mind and decided he will show them to not mess with his daughter.
He looked at kiaan who was serving Shanaya and to himself. He mentally made a note to make a plan with him to destroy that family.

As lunch came to an end….Meera stood up and went inside the kitchen after everyone had their lunch and came out with bowls in her hand.
She passed the bowl that was filled with kheer that Shanaya made.
“Aaj humari bahu ki pehli rasoi thi tho aaj ussne kheer banayi hai, aur kheer ke saath…saath.. ye jo abhi humne khayana woh bhi ussi ne banaya hai….” She said it while patting Shanaya's head lovingly .
[ Today our daughter-in-law's pehli rasoi was there she has made kheer, not just that but also the thing that we just ate]
Everyone started praising Shanaya for the lunch she had prepared.
“Arrre wah bhabhi kya lunch tha …. Iss liye sochu aaj ka khana different kyu taste kar raha hai”....Vivaan said it while taking the spoon from the stand.
[ Really bhabhi, what a lunch it was, thats why I thought today's lunch was tasting differently]
“Hmmm ... .hmmmm..yummy yummy yummmmmmmy” aarav did a happy foodie dance while sitting on the chair, making everyone laugh at his tactics.
Abhiraj looked at Shanaya and said “ beta Agar mujhe kheer khane ka mann hua toh mai tumhe batavuga kya tum mere liye bana sakhthi ho kya”
[ If i get craving for kheer I will tell you can you please make me this]
Shanaya looked at him with innocence filled in her eyes and replied with her sweet voice “ jii….. papa ji.”
This reply made Abhiraj's heart melt like an ice-cream. He looked at Meera with a huge smile on his face making her look at him with love filled in her eyes.
Abhishek was also looking at them with a happy face as he knew his brother's heart…
Saanvi and ruhi were busy eating when aarav looked at them and said “aap log bhi kuch bolo” but both of them ignored him and completed their bowl.
[ you also say something]
After completing they again served themselves once more and started eating, ignoring all the looks they were getting from others.
Aarav looked at them with disbelief in his eyes for ignoring him but didn't say anything when he saw his father looking at his wife and daughter with love filled in his eyes.
Kiaan took his first bite of the kheer and just reached his hands towards her thigh, he intertwined his fingers with her and leaned towards her to whisper in her ears “ Agar ye kheer Kitna tasty hai toh isse banane wali Kitna tasty hogi” while licking his lips and taking another bite.
[ If the kheer is so sweet then the one who made this should be more]
Hearing his words Shanaya blushed while keeping her eyes on her lap that had their hands together.
But in all these moments they didn't notice two pairs of eyes that were looking at her disgust and hatred in their eyes.
“Arre itna bhi kya kaas hai iss kheer mai huh!!.....isse kahi guna acha risha bana sakthi hai” Risha's mother said this while rolling her eyes.
[ whatever, its not that good also... better than this my risha can make ]
Shanaya who was looking at her lap with blushing ,suddenly had tears filled in her eyes after hearing her words.
Kiaan tightened his grip around the spoon and was going to speak but before he could say anything …..
Vivaan spoke “Arre aunty, agar Risha itni badi chef hai toh cooking show khol lo na — ‘Disaster with Risha’! Kam se kam kitchen bhi bach jayegi aur hum sabka pet bhi safe rahega.”
[ arree aunty If risha is such a great cook then why dont she open a show calling 'disaster with risha' atleast our kitchen would be safe and also our tummy]
Hearing his words all the family members laughed loudly, not just the family members but the staff who were present near the table they also snickered at his words.
“ Arre vivaan bhaiya apko lagatha hai iss ke khane ko doggy bhi na khaye” Ruhi said while taking the third serving for herself.
[ arre vivaan do you really think the food cooked by her will be edible by the dog also]
Shanaya was looking at her lap with a small smile lingering after hearing her brother-in-laws words
She felt a kind of peace and safety around this family.
She was coming to the conclusion that this family would not abandon her but she did not want to keep her hopes high so she just sat there quietly looking at all of them .
While Kiaan was still sitting with a hard, cold face when he heard his bua’s word he was on the urge to kill her with his bare hand but he didn't want to ruin his first meal with his wife wasting on some stupid people like them…..
But that didn't mean he was going to leave them, he was surely going to make them regret their life choices for making his wife cry….when he was going to say something before that …..
His father ... .Abhiraj called the maid making everyone look at him with a frowning face “ woh jo unke pass bowl hai na wo lo aur usse mere pas le ke aao…. Aur uss madam ko kitchen mai leke jao aur kheer banane ke ingredients do woh apne liye aur apni Maa ke liye kheer banaye gi….thik hai”
[ go and take those bowl form them and bring it to me, and take that madam to kitchen and give her the ingredients to make kheer ok she will make kheer for herself and her mother]
The maid bowed her head and went towards risha and her mother took the bowl [snatched the bowl] and asked risha to follow her.
“Arre bhaisa ap ye kya bol rahe hai ab meri beti kitchen mai Kam karegi” Risha's mother asked abhiraj who didn't bother to look up and started eating his kheer happily.
[ arre brother, now my daughter will work in the kitchen]
Risha and her mother looked at Shanaya with hatred in their eyes but couldn't keep up with it as they saw kiaan glaring at them with intensity that could definitely make a hole in their skull.
Both mother and daughter couldn't do anything so they just got up and left the dining table to go to their room.
Kiaan was able to sense something was cooking between the mother and daughter, he looked at Shanaya who was in her own world. He silently made a promise to himself that he won't let anything happen to her.
Meanwhile …… Shanaya still couldn't believe the things that were happening around her.
She was still not used to these things, the attention that they were giving to was something that she desired from her family.
The way her papa ji blessed her, the way he praised her, the way he became happy when she called him papa ji, was something that she dreamed of from her father.
She didn't know if she even deserved these things.
She didn't know if she was worth the love and attention she was getting from this family.
Her mind and heart were still not trusting them.

After sometime ruhi finally completed her 5th bowl of kheer and looked up at Shanaya with satisfaction on her face.
“Waahhhh, bhabhi kya kheer tha Mwah” as ruhi uttered, Shanaya blushed while looking down but kiaan glared at ruhi.
[ wahhh what a kheer bhabhi]
Who was not even looking at him.
“Sach beti kya kheer hai meri pakka sugar ayega agar mai aur khauga tho” Abhishek said it while licking his lips.
[ Really its so tasty that I will definitely become diabetic If I continue to eat]
Everyone again started praising her but then everyone looked at aarav who was busy licking his bowl like a dog.
Ruhi took her phone out and started recording the scene and at last made a comment
“Breaking news! A new creature was discovered … half man, half dessert lover… is currently fighting the bowl for the last drop of kheer!”
As she completed her sentence a spoon was thrown towards her direction that was thrown by her beloved brother who was glaring at her as if he was going to kill her (which might be possible).
While everyone else laughed at her comment.
Aarav pouted cutely and looked at Shanaya who was having a smile on her face and complained to her “ bhabhi dekho na ye bandriya kya bol rahi, kud tho 5 bowl kheer khayi aur dusro ko nahi diya ab jab mai ye kar raha hu tho mujhe ye Chida rahi hai”
[ bhabhi look at this monkey what she is saying , she herself ate 5 bowl and didnt leave anything for us and now when I am doing this she is teaseing me]
Shanaya gave him a small sweet smile and said “ Agar tumhe aur chahiye tho mujhe batade na mai aur bana dugi” aarav grinned while looking at her.
[ If you want more then tell i will make some more]
Everyone sitting on the dining table were looking at her innocent smile and the interaction she was having with her brother-in-law.
They were happy seeing her get comfortable with them.
…..
Suddenly there was a shift in the atmosphere of the dining hall causing Shanaya to shiver with unknown fear as if someone was watching her from a distance which was too near to her.
Sensing her discomfort, Kiaan was just giving her warmth through his eyes.
This scene was seen by a pair of eyes that was planning on something…..
Something that was dangerous,dark and vicious.
Those eyes were filled with sinful obsession, the smirk held destruction in it.
As the person was watching he was claiming Shanaya in his head
“Little Shine, Finally we meet”....
